Video Pipe Inspections

When it comes to diagnosing pipe problems, seeing is knowing.

Champion Pipe Restoration performs comprehensive pipe and sewer system assessments utilizing the latest in digital video inspection technology.

All quality pipeline restoration begins with a detailed pipe inspection performed by experienced technicians.

High Definition Digital Video Technology

Push Cameras – Push Cameras are the workhorses of most small diameter pipe inspections.

Champion’s fleet of push cameras provide high quality color video and incorporate Digital Video recorders empowering our technicians to deliver pro-class archival records of investigations and work performed.

Robotic Crawler Cameras – For larger pipelines, such as those encountered under condo buildings and on large commercial properties, Champion deploys robotic crawler cameras. Our robotic cameras can pan, tilt, and zoom to investigate pipe features. They are also outfitted with laser micrometry capabilities that allow our technicians to measure pipe cracks and deficiencies with sub-millimeter accuracy.

Integrated Cameras – Trenchless pipe restoration requires a great deal of highly specialized equipment. Many of Champion’s unique tools such as robotic cutters and UV liner curing systems feature integrated cameras that allow our technicians to remotely monitor and control work in progress. Few companies exhibit such technological prowess.

Emergent Technologies Drive High Quality Data Acquisition

Champion Camera CMOS

The emergence if increasingly sensitive low-light micro sensors has resulted in a reduction in camera size and has improved the quality of color pipeline video inspections.

It is now possible to record HD digital video of pipes as small as 1-inch through traps and multiple turns.

Pipeline Inspections Cameras Serve A Variety of Functions

Investigations & Assessments

Investigatory inspections provide the foundational data that enables much of the work that we do. Sometimes referred to as “sewer scoping” or “pipe scoping”, video inspections are an indispensable tool for assessing the condition of pipe systems.

Competent assessment is critical for the design and estimation of any pipe restoration project.

Process Guidance & Quality Control

Integrated Cameras allow our technicians to remotely monitor and control the work being performed inside of pipes in real-time.

Liner reinstatement robots are operated by technicians who view cutting activity on screen. Coating and liner-curing processes are monitored visually to ensure a high quality end product. Digital recording provides a visual record for future reference.
